Nearly 200 women gang-raped near Congo UN base → community.livejournal.com

“More than three weeks later, the U.N. peacekeeping mission in Congo has issued no statement about the atrocities and said Monday it still is investigating.”

captain-sonic:

“Four young boys also were raped, said Dr. Kasimbo Charles Kacha, the district medical chief. Masudi said they were babies aged one month, six months, a year and 18 months.”

“He said that by the time they got help it was too late to administer medication against AIDS and contraception to all but three of the survivors.”

Seriously. What is wrong with the people in this world. JFC.

Converting the Masses: Your Progress

It’s been a while, but I just checked our google analytics.

We’ve had hits from every state but 3: Wyoming, South Dakota, and Alaska. If you have friends in any of those states or if you will be passing through, you know what to do. Make a sticker and slap it up! We should totally pin that down.

We’ve had hits on every continent. (Antarctica isn’t shown, but we know we’ve had at least one there. Ha!) There are only 7 more South American countries that have yet to see your work: Colombia, Ecuador, Uruguay, Paraguay, Suriname, Guyana, French Guiana.

Notable geographies: We’ve had hits from Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Nigeria, Pakistan. We’re probably banned in China and Iran.

Ten countries with the most hits in descending order:

  1. USA
  2. Australia
  3. UK
  4. Canada
  5. Hong Kong
  6. Germany
  7. Argentina
  8. Sweden
  9. Spain
  10. Brazil
